Bio

Ron is Chairman and CEO of The Gathering USA, a ministry that focuses on  areas where faith and culture intersect.

From 1993 to 2017, Ron was founder, Chairman, and CEO of airline software company Radixx International, Inc., based in Orlando, FL.  Radixx is an innovator with numerous industry firsts, including the development of the first cloudbased airline reservations system, the first retail airline system, and the only system able to simultaneously support both traditional and Low Cost Carrier business models.  Radixx has grown to be a major provider of airline reservations systems, hosting over forty airlines on six continents of all business models. In 2019, Radixx was acquired by industry leader SABRE, Inc.

An electrical engineering graduate of Rutgers University, Ron started his career at IBM.  A skeptic, Ron came to faith after a careful analysis of the Bible.  Ron then took a hiatus from the business world, earning a Masters of Divinity degree and spending several years in full-time ministry as a pastor and as president of Regional Seminary of the Northeast.  In order to emulate the “tent making” ministry model of Paul, Ron returned to the business world.   With $500 in startup capital, he founded systems integrator Computer Support of North America, Inc., where he pioneered the move to inexpensive networks from mainframes at a variety of companies worldwide.  Ron was dubbed “the father of mainframe replacement” for his ground breaking efforts of replacing mainframes with networks of PCs and “in the vanguard of a revolution” by the Wall Street Journal.  CSNA provided its services to clients like Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, CBS, Beneficial Life, and was acquired by The Ultimate Corp in 1991.  As a Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at Ultimate, Ron designed an innovative, award winning approach to monitoring and managing distributed networks sold under the name “SupportLink” which was implemented by USWest, Bell Atlantic, Olivetti and several other telecommunications providers.

His entry into the aviation industry began with his tenure as Vice President and CTO at AirTran Airways, which led to Ron focusing his efforts on using advanced technology in the airline industry so as to dramatically reduce costs, increase profits, and creatively expand distribution channels.  His stint at AirTran became the launching pad for Radixx.

Ron has founded, successfully managed, and grown three companies, while also functioning as a consultant to many international and Fortune 500 companies as well as multiple government agencies.   Ron provided training to HP and NCR in re-engineering techniques and provided strategic guidance to SUN, Olivetti (Ivrea, Italy), and Data General.  When EDS embarked on several mainframe replacement projects he was called on to provide the training to their staff.  He has also provided his consulting services to Fujitsu, Hitachi, Nissen, Mitsubishi, ICT, and a variety of other foreign corporations.

Ron has been quoted numerous times in the trade and popular press, including Computerworld, Communications Week, Investor’s Business Daily, PC Week, Software Magazine, CIO, CFO, the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Forbes, Fortune, Datamation, Barrons, and a variety of industry specific publications.

Ron has been a speaker at various airline and technology conferences, speaking at business conferences and seminars throughout the U. S., Canada, and Europe.  He was a featured keynote speaker speaking on major technology trends at IBM Edge, IBM Interconnect, Networld, and IBM Cloud Spring Event.  Ron has also been a speaker or keynote at OracleWorld, Info, Landex, PC Expo, Client/Server World and NetWorks speaking on complex connectivity, network design, re-engineering, system support, application design  and related topics.  He was conference chairman and keynote speaker for the “Emerging Technologies” track at Client/Server world.  In addition, Ron has been a keynote speaker at multiple conferences and seminars held by CAPA, T2RL, Terrapinn and DCI, Inc. in the United States, Europe, Asia and Africa.

Ron’s entrepreneurial leadership has been profiled in the book “Supreme Leadership” by Alinka Rukowska.  https://www.amazon.com/Supreme-Leadership-Successful-Business-Leaders-ebook/dp/B078W8P2LT/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1521047025&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=supreme+leadership&psc=1
